Is it true? That when you get older, you’ll be a lot mature? Most of the things I see around me had proven that this
equation is wrong. Twist it however you want. But the answer remains the same.
I’ve seen people older than me making mistakes. Mistakes
that are beyond what I thought older people are capable of making. I guess I’ll
go with “We’re all human. And human makes mistakes.”
Children are often ‘deceived’ by a belief that adults are
perfect and they don’t make mistakes. I used
to be a child once. But all I saw was flaws and mistakes. They are not perfect.
They are like a child. Yes, I once dreamed of growing up fast, so that I would
not have to face my own mistakes.
But, now I see the reality and it is not beautiful. I don’t
want to grow up fast. Children are more honest in what they do and say. They
don’t lie. They don’t betray. But all that will be taken away by time. I will
be taken away by time. I am scared. But we all have to go through it.
Being an adult is not a curse. It’s a responsibility. When
you’re older, more things will come to take place on your shoulder. If we do it
wrong, how will we answer to ourselves one day?
It is actually when you’re older that you’ll learn more and
experience more, and when you learn to deal with them, you’ll be mature.
Don’t be afraid to grow up. It’s just a name anyway.
------> That's why I said, no matter what number I get to, I'm just a child at heart. I'm not ashamed to admit that.
